We've had laughter, joys, memories, heart-breaks, pain & tragedies, but most importantly, we've had LOVE, & would do it all over again. And we are especially blessed that EVERYONE gets along together, in amazement of all who sees. |

Don't They Look Like 'Angels' (Left to Right) Clyde Bum , Sasha & Maggie Not everyone living here has their photos posted. Hopefully, soon we will add pictures of our additional cats, "Christy", "Baby", "BunnyBun" & "SammySam". "Christy" is a very shy siamese from the Humane Society; "Baby" came from the woods last September & was so small he could go thru the weaving spaces in our chain length fence; "BunnyBun" is a white persian mix manx which came from the woods in December hurt, & "Sammy Sam" came in early July, 2001 as his owner of 10 years passed away.
A new dalmatian was rescued late September, 2001, "Buddy", who is approx. 6 years old, is now the 6th dog. "Buddy" had been chained his whole life, & surprisingly is a saint in the house.
Our turtles & small parrots soon to be posted. All Photos taken by the Mrs.

To Our Boy, Budkiss, Whom We Miss So Much. Lost to Incompetent Vet (Kidney Stones Common in Male Dalmatians 3 to 4 Years of Age) |
Clyde Bum, Manx Cat & Terror He welcomes everyone here, & is far too smart for his own good. |
Clyde Bum, With Budkiss (Far Right, Maggie's Nose) Even though Budkiss wasn't with us as long as we wished, (1995-1999), we treasure his memory, & know he's at Rainbow Bridge, waiting for Lucy (Below), who loved him so. |
Lucy, Our Oldest Resident, Rescued in 1987 before her 1st birthday. My 1st encounter with Lucy, aka 'Moomee' was the 1st date with the Mrs. in 1992. I'm not a small guy, & she proceeded to try & pick me up with her nose, by my crotch, all the time growling. Believe me, Dalmatians are VERY protective of their owners. |

Budkiss, 1995-1999, (Far Left) Rescued From Humane Society in 6/1996. He had been there 6 weeks, had hurt his paw there, & caretakers of Humane Society gave this 6 month old puppy, a bad rap, & tried discouraging us from adoption. He was the happiest, strongest & fastest dog we have ever had.
Lucy & Maggie (Center), & Maggie & Lucy (Right). Maggie rescued 1997, at about 9 months of age. She had been starved, beaten, & her collar had to be cut off as it was growing into her skin. Maggie is a Liver Color Dalmatian. She has been the toughest dog to train due to her severe abuse. (Abused animals sometimes take longer to mature, like Maggie. ) When we 1st got her, the Mrs. couldn't even bush her own hair without Maggie flinching as if she was about to be hit again. We have played with her so much with our hands that she no longer stands down or acts afraid of hands raised. She has learned to go after hands now. |

'Bubba Whiner', Rescued in 1993, & is My Boy. He is a Rott-Sheppard-Lab mix, but looks pure black lab. He was the runt of the litter always 'whining', born to elderly dogs, & is the only survivor of his family. |
'Sasha', Miniature Sheppard (50 Lbs) Sasha rescued in 1996, at approx. 9 months of age. We were her 4th family. Sasha goes everywhere with the Mrs.; never leashed, always listens, & responds to both hand & verbal signals which the Mrs. has taugh her. Sasha thinks she is 125 lbs. |
'Duke', our friends rescued Basset Hound, visiting & trying to get 'Sasha' to play. Whatever he said, 'Sasha' didn't like. Duke is 12 years old. |
'Cleo' (center-pale grey spotted) was the 1st cat for me with the Mrs. I loved cats, & the Mrs. had none, as she had & still has parrots & was afraid to have cats with birds. Cleo (1994) is an Egyptian Blue-Eyed Mau, & was not rescued. After Cleo, the Mrs. went cat-crazy, & we rescued Clyde Bum (Manx - 1995), then MauMau (1995 Both Boys Far Left), then 'Christy' (Siamese Not Shown), 'BaBeans - the informant' (1998 Far Back Black), 'Lucky Boy' (1999 Front Black) & Big Kitty ( 2000 Middle Orange). (MauMau far rear) |
'Kira' Sheppard Mix Rescued 1998. Living in the woods, people discard unwanted pets here, which is far more horrible than taking them to shelters. When we took in Kira, we estimated her age at between 4 & 6 months old. She is our youngest dog. |
"BaBeans" The Informant to the Mrs. (Far Left), & "Lucky Boy". "Big Kitty" (Right). Both BaBeans & Big Kitty came from the woods. "Lucky Boy" is a small sickly cat from the Cat Protection Agency. Being Black, male & sickly were 3 strikes against him for ever being adopted.
When the Mrs. brought him home at approx. 4 months of age, I asked, "How many cats did you have to select from?" She responded, "Well, over 200." Then I asked, "Was this the best they had?", and she responded, "Yes". Well, I didn't think so, but, my Mrs. was right about him being the very best they had. |

The 'Boys' Domesticated Ruein Duck Criminals & Dog Terrorizers These rescued 1998, from a neighbor living on a lake, who was unable to keep these ducks on their property & was reported to the sheriff.
Well, they ended up here, & I was out digging a pond for them, landscaping, stepping stones, etc. These are our 1st ducks (hopefully last & only ducks), & they eat dry dog food, corn, some fruits & bread products. They also eat live fish stocked in the pond, & we have seen them catch & eat frogs.
The boys are called "Whitey" (white wings far back) & "Smokey" (smoke colored wings front) These guys like the cats, but chase the dogs every chance they get, which is an extremely funny sight. Domesticated Ducks do not fly, but can run fast. Our ducks are not caged & have a special area in the yard. (Anyone know how to spell Ruein Ducks, let me know.) |
